To answer that question, SEO is very important! Unless you don’t want anyone to see your product or website then it might not be so important. If you don’t know what SEO is, I’ll explain. SEO stands for search engine optimization, it is basically helping your website or product gain traffic by optimizing your webpage to organically rank higher on search engine’s such as Google, Bing and even Amazon. So now you’re probably wondering “Well how do I do that?” easy, it’s all about keywords, website optimization, and linking.
Keywords: Make sure they are relevant, they don’t have much competition and that they will generate enough traffic.
Website Optimization: Check your URL, meta tag, title tag, description tag, headings, text, images, and site map.
Links: Link text, URL’s, inbound links, outbound links, and paid links.
As someone who works in an Amazon department at an instrument case company, I can personally attest that SEO is everything when it comes to having your product show up first and making the sale.
Hey Brooke! First of all I really liked the gif that you included as your image. It really caught my attention. Your blog is very simple and straight forward. One that does not know what SEO is and its importance will have a great understanding thanks to the valuable and simple information you have given. I totally agree that if you want your business to be successful you want your product/service to show up first so that the person sees it first, goes to the website and makes the purchase!
Hi Brooke,
Just scrolling through your website it’s very easy to read and know what’s going to be important. I like your use of bold text and how you then take some of those and expand more on them. It’s short and to the point which is also good. The only thing I would change would be the sizing on the pictures. Since they’re a little off it kind of throws off the bottom. Good job overall!
A gif as your featured image caught my attention and led me to read your blog post. The introduction of your blog is very conversational, which shows personality. However, accomplishing search engine optimization is not as easy as one sentence per tactic. Maybe include some more information or expand on what you list to be essential components of a successful business website. The images providing online environmental statistics make for an attractive and simple way to communicate facts, nice job!
I love your chosen images and use of a gif. Your writing is precise and to the point which is vital for us easily distracted readers.
Brooke,
Great content, these are key points that many marketers seem to forget!
I liked how you personalized this post with your own professional experience. And the image from eMarketer was a great addition to this post, as it tells the reader how important a simple search bar is when it comes to sales and visibility.
