During the web marketing effective websites lecture, the most part I enjoyed is the web design topic. The web design matters a lot to viewers. To make a web design look good you have to follow the following steps: keep your design balanced, pick two or three base colors at most for the design, improve the website typography, try to make the graphics go well together, make elements stand out by adding white space around them, and have all elements connected. Following the steps mentioned will lead to more time viewing the web and it gives the web more stability.
When improving the web design, keeping it simple is the best. This will attract almost all range of people. For example, if the website is complicated the viewer will give up fast and won’t continue browsing the website.
Web design is super important and super fun! I couldn’t agree with you more on the fact that a website should be balanced. I think balance can make or break a website. When scrolling, you want to feel that everything is coming at you in a calming way. You don’t want to feel like the top half of the web page is empty and the bottom is information heavy. I am also very big on typography. Having too many words or too little words will make or break a website. Additionally, the font that you use can turn of some consumers. It should be clear cut and easy to read. Great analysis of web design 🙂
