Unlike Claws, which have no laws, web design is always done using a 3+1 model. The three in “3+1” are structure, style, and logic, each of which have specific coding languages that are needed to create a finished website. For the purpose of the course, we’ll primarily be looking at HTML5 for structure, CSS3 for style, and Javascript for logic. These, as we know, are web superheroes and enjoy wearing capes of the flowing variety. Structure is for creating the webpage itself, which most of us have done in previous classes using HTML and notepad. We use CSS3 for style, where we can add flair to the website like the bevel on the button in the in-class example. Javascript is then used to add logic to the website, wherein we would make that button perform a specific action like redirecting to a different page, spinning, or buying White Claws. The “1” in 3+1 is the database, where we store the data to be available in the website, like possible inventory or polls. This 3+1 is then bundled with a content management system like WordPress, and published via a web host such as GoDaddy.
There are no coupons. Whoops.
Thomas, I really enjoyed the comedy aspect of your post! It was funny yet informative. 🙂
Funny featured picture!! I love how you mentioned White Claws a few times throughout the post too!
Hi Thomas,
Great picture! It really grabbed my attention. Also good job with the writing! It was very entertaining.
Your title totally drew me in and the relaxed blog made it nice to read instead of just reading information after information. Overall I loved it.
