Triggered Emails

Triggered Emails are very good at getting people who have purchased in the past or have a certain event coming up to return to the website. Starbucks always sends a triggered email on your birthday to give you a coupon for a free drink that is available for the following week. Another use for triggered emails is if someone had added an item into their cart, but not purchased the item. The purpose of this email would be to see if the customer is still interested in the item. Some websites might even include the remaining amount of the item is remaining. These emails do have much promotional value to them, but they are still very important to email marketing. If someone took the time to put an item in there cart it is ok to assume that they had interest in purchasing the item.
