No, you don’t need thousands of followers to have social media success

Social media is a form of electronic communication where users from different areas around the world can share information, ideas, and other contents. Many users believe that one must reach millions of people to have a good social media profile. Some also believe that one must have thousands of followers to increase reach and engagement on a single social media post. The truth is, if your content on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are informative, relatable, and reliable, the viewers are most likely going to share, like, and comment on your posts.

Different Forms of Media

Paid Media

Paid media includes banners, paper ads, SEM, television, etc., These are external marketing efforts involving paid placement.

Owned Media

Owned Media includes retail stores, Facebook account, Twitter account, company website, etc.,. These are any online property that can be controlled by the brand/owner. The more owned media channels one has, the more potential one has to reach their targets and followers.

Earned Media

Earned media includes word of mouth, Facebook engagement, Twitter engagement, blogs, etc. These are organic promotions done by your viewers/audience. It is a very effective way of getting your content out to the world- reaching people beyond your target audience
