Starting Out
When selling on a Social Media platform there is one thing that you need or you will fail, exposure. Whether it’s having an intriguing bio on the company’s social media account, paying a social media platform for advertisement, or going viral; You need to draw eyes on your product in order to reach the most potenial customers.
Appearence
Now that you have gained notable exposure and your business has a lot of attention, how do you want your products to look? What kind of pictures are you going to post? People will only be interested in products that present well and seem effective. People will only be interested in companies that seem professional and that know what they are talking about. I would recommend paying a little money when it comes to pictures of your products. It could be hiring a professional photographer or someone to photoshop an image. Appearences will be very important for you to sell.
HR and PR
Your buisness’s social media has gotten a lot of attention. You paid some money so your products look good and seem productive. There is momentum surrounding your products and business. The four letters that could kill all of that momentum quicker than anything else are HR and PR. HR (Human Resources) is all about how you treat the people that work for you. Chances are if you make an employee mad enough they will post something about it on social media. If your buisness is big enough this post is almost guarenteed to go viral. Which ties into the next two letters, PR. PR (Public Relations) is based around how people percieve your companies true motivations and ethics. It’s also not just about angry employee posts, it’s based around anyone and everyone who represents your company. If people don’t like how you treat your employees, don’t agree with your ethics, or are just displeased with something about your company you will lose customers. If enough people feel this way it will kill your business’s products, social media, and maybe even the buisness itself. When you get big enough, hire HR and PR people. While your buisness is small this will be up to you and your social media person.
