In this blog we will be discussing the myths involving social media that many people would misconceive as being true.

Myths:
Social Media is Free: This is a myth because nothing in the world is free including social media. Social media for example takes up our time and time is money in this competitive world. You will pay one way or another for your time or efforts on social media.
Good Social “Must” Go Viral: Here is another myth that good social media must go viral for it to be successful. This is not the case as you can have consistent focused social media that can accomplished the goals of what you are after.
Social Media Will Replace Traditional Media: The reporting and media industry is very strong and an extremely important aspect in today and the future world. Social media is very powerful and might overtake newspapers of magazines per say but will never fully overthrow traditional media as it is too valuable.
Good Social Media Must Reach Millions of People: As I mentioned above, you can have a good consistent social media reach and you don’t need to reach millions of people. As long as you are reaching your desired target market you don’t need to reach everyone in the world to be very effective.
Good Social Media Can Fix Problems: Not all social media can fix every problem people face in web marketing or in their promotional efforts. Good social media is not a guaranteed and even if it is there can be imminent problems to constantly face.
Social Media Should Function Independently of Traditional Media: This is a myth because social media departments should work hand in hand with other departments to ensure proper collaboration to promote in the best way possible. By allowing social media to be independent you are risking loosing your brand identity by not involving everyone to be apart of one big team to create the strongest brand possible.
