RGB Mode.
RGB (red, green, blue) is an additive and is made of light. RGB mode is optimal for digital websites and mistaking it for its opposite, CMYK Mode, will result in contrasting results.

CMYK Mode.
CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) on the other hand is a subtractive and is made of ink. This mode is reserved for physical prints like brochures, paper, and print ads.
