Is it raining? Do I actually need a new couch?

Last week in class Dr. Liska told us that people tend to spend more online shopping when it is gloomy or raining outside then on days it is sunny and bright. This got me thinking about all the times I have online shopped when it is gloomy outside, and I think that is pretty interesting. This statement is very accurate and just shows that little things or something you may not think would influence your decision may change your mind without you even knowing. So the next time you see a sale happening, it may be because it was calling for a 70% chance of rain that day not just because the business felt like having one.
IS THIS TOO MUCH? TOO BIG? ALL CAPS? TOO bight!?

Another factor that we talked about in class is the use of all capital letters and how to have the perfect heading or title. You never want to feel like you are being screamed at or that reading the titles on a website gave you a headache, so you always need to make sure that you are making the perfect sized titles and not giving your title color that may hurt the eyes. These things matter in creating an effective website/website ad. Consumers will not buy from you again if your site gave them cataracts.

Lastly, your website must have some good call to action buttons or phrasing or nobody will be buying what you are selling. These call to actions can be little phrases that tell the user what do to do or where to go to buy your product or service. These buttons can be very bright or loud so it grabs the consumers attention. Having the right font and colors are important because you want to grab the consumers attention and keep them wanting to know more or learn more about your product or service.
All of these things listed above are just a few of the important elements that go into creating a great website or sales page. There are various things that go into designing a website, and I cannot wait to learn more about it throughout this semester!
