- People tend to online shop more during the cold weather seasons because they are not outside nearly as long as they would be during the warmer months.
My favorite topic from Web Marketing thus far has been the difference in the way people shop online based on the weather.
Do you ever find yourself looking for something to do on a rainy day? Most people who love to spend time outdoors tend to use those rainy, gloomy days as time for online shopping. Studies show when the weather gets bad, online shopping tends to increase.
In reality, most people tend to online shop whenever they have the urge. However, it is very interesting to see that the weather, on any given day, can play a huge role in whether or not a person decides to do any online shopping. Nowadays, everybody sees numerous advertisements each day just by using their smartphone. You my be scrolling through social media or trying to stream a video on YouTube. Either way, you will surely run into a hand full of digital advertisements. Most people spend more time on average outdoors during the spring and summer months. When it is sunny and warm outside, people typically spend less time on their phones during the day. This creates a less likely chance of them browsing the internet via smartphone or computer for things they may want.
