There are two major components when we talk about analytics in the digital world. The first is having a good sample size to analyze. If your sample size is too small, your data will not be accurate enough to measure and help out with your company in the future. If it is too big, you will have too much data and will basically be in the same position as if you didn't collect any data at all. Too much data leaves room for mess and too many places to look at. No data will look strong enough. You need just the right amount that you can do something with and have a strong decision about.
The amount of time you let the test go on for also crucial. The longer you run a test the better the results will be. You need to give time for your sample to act on the test. There are different times in the day for different people. Different weather affects different people and this can cause other factors to play in on your testing. In this case, the more data you collect, the better will you understand your analytics and the better your decisions you base of them, will be.
