Key Words are searchable, basic ideas, or terms from a website that search engines use to identify the websites content for searchers. When discussing SEO from a digital marketing and website development/management perspective, Key Words are used and embedded into the code (or simply identified in the website building tool’s SEO function ie. Squarespace, WordPress, etc.) to tell the search engines what kind of information or content can be found on a particular website.
