There are three ways you can utilize social media marketing. This is through paid, earned, and owned advertising.


  1. Paid Advertising: These are advertising methods such as television or radio commercials, banners, direct mail, or in-store media!
  2. Owned Advertising: These are things the business directly owns and has control of. Such as, the website, Facebook pages, apps, and physical stores!
  3. Earned Advertising: This comes through word of mouth, organic likes and shares. This is all free exposure from customers.

  2. Advertisers - the ones creating the ads / content
  3. The Platforms - the place where the advertisements / content will be displayed and shared.
