The first step to creating a website is to understand the 3+1 model. This model consists of 3 languages of coding: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Let’s start with HTML5. This code is fundamental to a website because it builds the structure and behavior of the site. You can use it to embed images or video along with text. This is what it looks like.

CSS3 on the other hand, is used to design the website. It allows you to change the font, colors, and add visual effects. CSS3 can differentiate your website from your competitors.

Lastly, JavaScript. Used to make the website interactive, JavaScript is vital for your website to be effective. It allows the consumers to click on buttons and make purchases.
The last part of the equation is for a database. They are used to organize and manage the information on your website. Some databases that you can use include Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, and XML.
Hi Beth,
Your title is what brought me to your blog 100%. When I saw the coding for dummies I knew I was in the right spot. You have a lot of really good information in your blog but it’s just a little hard to read with the text kind of everywhere. I do like the pictures you choose but maybe just a little more organization would be good. Good content overall!
Hi Beth, the clarity of your gif as the thumbnail of your post made me click on yours in particular- most people’s gif thumbnails are crazy pixelated and run at like six and a half FPS. I thought you should know just in case you don’t see it the same on your computer that the blog kinda has words spread all over the place with the pictures placed pretty randomly throughout. Honestly it looks like my computer just might not be seeing it correctly and has jumbled the format, and I’m assuming that this is the problem, but for future reference some people are going to see your webpages in a jumbled format if you continue to make them in the same manner.
Beth,
Nice images and content. Similar to Garret and Thomas, I immediately noticed the jumbled and weirdly displayed text. My suggestion is to preview your posts before publishing!
I saw “Coding for dummies” and decided this is exactly what I needed to read. Thank you for not disappointing!
Your blog post was very informational and your title definitely brought me in, however the text and pictures seemed so squished in there, maybe space it out some.
