S.M.A.R.T Goals

S.M.A.R.T. is a mnemonic acronym used to give criteria in the guidance of goal setting, it is assumed to give better results and allow you to assess the most affective course of action to reach a goal.

Is your goal SMART

For your goal to be S.M.A.R.T it must be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely. So, what does this really mean and why is it useful? Well first you want your goal to be specific you want to know what you want to get out of this for example would be a store owner wants to see an increase in sales during his slowest hours. Next, the goal must be Measurable you should be able to measure the differences and the results to be able to understand your results. The goal also must be Achievable and Realistic you need to have a goal that you can truly see yourself meeting and is not impossible and is capable of achieving. Also, the goal should be Timely you should have a time frame in your mind about the goal. For example, like with the store owner looking to increase sales during slow hours if they want to see these results within two months that is a timely goal. So SMART goals allow you to develop a plan and set efficient and important goals that can make a difference.
