Marketing in today’s world has changed and continues to progress as time proceeds. Data is constantly being collected to find patterns and what appeals to customers on social media, google searches, and even websites. Marketing based on data is by far my favorite topic due to the eminence amount of information gathered before, during, and after a customer interacts with a website. Data-driven marketing keeps companies innovating and keeping up with common trends in today’s market.

A/B Testing

Within the marketing data collected by companies is A/B Testing. This form of testing allows companies and websites to compare two versions of a webpage against each other to show which performs better and creates more traffic/customers for the webpage or app. Testing to find the best layout of a webpage is important, but A/B testing needs to be specific in order to successfully complete these tests. SMART goals (Specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely) is a strong guide to correctly start these tests. Pinpoint what specific material will be tested and create questions by following the SMART goals. Based on results, the website can be tailored to fit the exact needs and marketing strategies that benefit the webpage/company the most effectively.

Every webpage differs in marketing efforts. This topic of Data-Driven marketing is highly important to a company due to the fact of a breakthrough moment. Learning and diversifying a webpage is key to grow and reach more customers on the page. There are many different marketing strategies but digging deep and finding the data that drives sales will grow a company by itself.
