Digital Lit

287

I decided to name my blog “Digital Lit” because digital analytics always stays lit with the information it provides. Since there are so many different pieces to cover I’m only going to go in depth on a couple.

The first topic I choose is making SMART goals. This stands for Smart, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely. Having these types of goals will make sure that the project stays on target. I’ve personally set these kind of goals for myself and the make all the difference when sticking to a plan. Making sure that you check these goals regularly to make sure they are on track is key.

My next topic is going to be about looking at certain data trends. The example we learned in class had to do with the weather and how different products purchase rates go up for different occurrences. Say there is a hurricane, water sales would go up just because of the unsure factor. Another example would be ice cream sales during the summer.

Hope you guys enjoyed my brief explanations.

  1. Hi Garret,

Your blog stood out to me because it was very personable. I liked how you related it to your class experience. You did an amazing job explaining those two concepts and loved how you applied “lit” to it. It made me laugh. Good job!

  2. Garret,

Great use of design (featured image, font color, URL slug) and real-world examples. My only suggestion is to add an excerpt for blog #6, and to do a quick review before publishing for any typos and mistakes (e.g. …SMART goals. This stands for Smart), just to make sure that all of the information is accurate!

  3. I enjoy your use of imagery within the post. I also like that you made this post more personal by adding an example from class.
