When building websites coding is essential. As a marketer, you don’t have to know everything about coding, but you need to know at least the basics. Here are some of the basics.
Domain Registration
First, let’s talk about domains. A domain is the name of your website. You register your domain so that you can have exclusive access to the name of your website. In other words, so no one else can use the name of your website. You definitely will want to do this because you want your customers to go to your website and not someone else’s. Especially if theirs looks sketchy and then customers don’t want to do business with you.
Foundation Languages
The foundation script languages are maybe the most essential things to a website. The three languages are HTML, CSS, and Javascript. HTML provides structure, CSS provides style, and Javascript provides logic. These scripting languages help the way websites are designed and function.
Databases
Lastly, one of the basics that I believe is important to know is databases. Databases are organized collections of data stored and accessed electronically through database management systems. An example of a database is MySQL. Added to the 3 script languages that create the 3+1 model for website building.
All major companies use these things plus more to create successful websites to market their businesses.
