Drawing the Consumer In

My favorite thing we learned about when discussing “Web Marketing: Effective Websites” was learning about how many different aspects go into how consumers make their decisions when it comes to designs. This is because I can see myself in these traits that consumers have. For example, I find myself very judgmental and specific when it comes to the websites I look at. If a website is bland and boring, I will immediately exit it and find another one. This is why websites need to take into account their design and not only the information that they have in them. A website could have the most riveting information, but if their design and colors are boring and empty, they will not get as much traction as a website who draws the eyes of consumers to their page. Not only the design, but also how easy the website is to use is very importantly. If I find myself having a hard time navigating a website, there is a very low chance I will keep looking through that website. Consumers do not like to be inconvenienced, and they like to be able to find things easily and have things go smoothly.
