Why is Digital Marketing Important for marketers?

Firstly, having a basic understanding of how websites, social media platforms, and Google analytics function will give a marketer a better opportunity to impress their boss.

When it comes to the website, there are so many terms to know and understand, but in an entry-level position understanding the term 3+1 will be extremely effective. The slogan refers to HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Database. Knowing how these operate a marketer can easily change a website which can save time and money.

Secondly, social media platforms, which we should all be familiar with from personal use. At a company, the accounts will be set up differently. What I mean by this is that multiple coworkers will have the ability to post, interact, and plan out what will be posted. The most important thing about social media will be knowing the target market that the brand wants to reach. Make sure the tags are related to the community, the content is organic and finally paid advertisement will be a valuable tool to reach the audience.

Lastly, Google analytics will be a marketer’s best friend. Being able to take raw data and then translate it into something presentable to the boss will take you far in the company. Not only will it give you the opportunity to make the big bucks, but you can show exactly how you generated value for the consumers and the company.
