I began to realize this when learning about coding this past week in class. One thing that stood out to me was website domains. A website domain is practically owning property on the internet. Your domain is how consumers will find your online space through URL. Businesses commonly associate their URL with their business name. After a site is designed the domain allows the site to be published and go live on the internet.

Once you have created your site there are many platforms to purchase your domain from. The most popular platform is https://www.godaddy.com/ . This site allows you to purchase your domain, but this is not a one-time payment. They offer monthly and yearly plans depending on availability of your desired domain. If you are planning to create a website, I recommend going to GoDaddy to check your domain availability. The more unique the higher chances of having your domain available. I found it interesting that some people will go buy random domain names to later sell for higher prices, so be careful where you buy your domain from.
