What are SMART goals?
SMART is a way of setting our goal apart into categories. Each letter of smart means something different and is an important way of showing each aspect of marketing efficiently. SMART is a great way first way to form a digital marketing strategy. In this blog I will be going over what each letter of smart means and how it can be used properly. When building or improving a website it is always good to have a good foundation, so why not make it a SMART one!

SMART explained
I think the chart above does a great job of showing what SMART stand for, now let us dig a little deeper:
- Specific: This is mainly talking about the 5 W’s and where you want to be located. Which for your company or business I would hope you would want to be at the top of the search results.
- Measured: This part of the SMART goals process focuses on what data or information needs to be collected and measured. This will be helpful in improving your website.
- Achievable: When wanting to reach a goal especially in the marketing world you must make sure you can reach your goal, or think you can. So be realistic and do not go too overboard with your goal.
- Relevant: You must make sure your goal is relevant to your business or company. Why would you want to market something that will not help your business improve?
- Timely/Timed: Set a time frame for when you would like to reach your goal. Without setting a time frame you may forget about your goal.

I hoped you learned some useful things about SMART goals in the blog. Always remember to be SMART when it comes to online marketing, and never stop improving!
