Things to Keep in Mind About for User Experience Design

User experience focuses on having a deep understanding of the users, their needs and wants, their values, their abilities, and their limitations. Some things we think about when it comes to web design are questions like:

  • What is the best way for a website to look?
  • What type of website will drive the most sales?
  • What are colors should I use?

However, when it comes to designing for user experience it depends on many factors as stated previously. I will be elaborating in a couple of factors.

  1. Who is the user?

Websites should be catered to the user. One tip is to find out who your website’s audience/user is going to be. Then depending on the type of user make changes to the website to appeal to them and create an easy experience.

  1. What are their needs and wants?

Every user’s needs and wants change and are different. For example, older people are more likely to spend money when the process to spend it is easier and if they feel like the product is a need or want. It is necessary for a website to be designed to align with the user’s needs and wants. One need is a website that is easy to navigate through. Another example, if a website is poorly designed and hard to navigate through, the some users are going to get annoyed and leave the website without purchasing.

User experience is the most important part of creating a website. If the website is not user friendly, it is worthless. The goal for designing a website is to accommodate to the user’s needs and wants and create an meaningful and relevant experiences for the user.

  1. I think your article is very informative. The first thing I noticed was the placement of different size fonts an bullet points. I made the article an easy read. “Who is the User” section is great because it’s truthful and to the point. I wish I could see the full Dwight meme. Does it say something after “never”?
