One of the topics that I found particularly interesting in our lecture was the correlation between Weather and Online spending. I never realized how much stock companies put into weather reports when advertising their products online. Based on the lecture, we learned that many companies like to track weather reports to maximize the traffic coming to their sites in certain areas. The study shown in the lecture showed that bad weather did indeed have a positive affect towards online sales. Main reason for this increase in sales is that customers find themselves bored indoors and tend to browse around more on the internet. This resonated with me because it's something that I did not think about, but it is something I always do. When we're dealing with bad weather I spend a lot of that time indoors on the computer or watching TV. It's always interesting to learn how certain external factors can influence a market.

Great blog Ivan, I was intrigued as well about the weather and online shopping correlation. I must admit that I browse around and shop online more so when I’m stuck in the house, because who’s really about to go find some entertainment in the rain. Thanks for your insight!
